An autopsy was scheduled Thursday on the body of 41-year-old Jennifer S. Tannhauser of Wilmington. Her body was found Wednesday in Kankakee River State Park.  She had been reported missing July 10.

In a press release, Will County Coroner Laurie Summers said Tannhauser was pronounced dead at 3:20 Wednesday afternoon.  Summers said Wilmington Police and the Illinois State Police are investigating the incident. Wilmington Police received a report Tannhauser was reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis causing concern for her safety. The day after she was reported missing, Tannhauser’s vehicle was found in Kankakee County parked in a conservation area near Warner Bridge Road.
