Kankakee City Police are investigating the shooting of a 13-year-old boy.  Police said the youth sustained a non life-threatening wound Wednesday night at his home on S. Rosewood Avenue. Detectives are asking for information from anyone with details about the incident.  The public can call 815-933-0426. 

At approximately 9:18 p.m., Kankakee police were dispatched to a Kankakee hospital  about 9:20 pm for a report of a gunshot victim. The victim was taken to the hospital  by his parents.  Police learned the boy was at his home in the 300-block of South Rosewood when he was struck by gunfire. The victim was cooperative but could not provide a description of a suspect, according to police.
