An employee of the Ludlow Cooperative Grain Elevator at the Paxton facility suffered a leg injury Monday when a skid loader he was operating backed into an auger trough. Paxton Fire responded and was able to remove the injured worker from a grain bin. Initial reports indicated a worker was trapped in a grain bin; that was not the case.
Paxton fire personnel quickly answered the call at 8:30 am. Rescue workers were on the scene a little more than 30 minutes. The elevator is located just north of Paxton along U.S. Route 45.
