Veterans invited to ride in Watseka's July 4th Parade

Military veterans are extended a welcome to participate in the July 4th Independence Day Parade in Watseka.  This Thursday's 10 am parade finds American Legion Post #23's Color Guard marching, while urging veterans to help celebrate the freedom and independence each veteran made possible during their military service.

The Legion will also have a trailer in the parade for our military veterans to ride in honor of their service and sacrifice for our nation. This year's parade is recognizing and honoring Korean War Veterans.  All veterans are invited to contact the American Legion to reserve a seat on the parade entry.  All other non-American Legion veterans are invited to join in the parade route to celebrate the cause.

All riders will need to be in front of the Watseka Area High School at 9:30 am Thursday. The Legion Honor Guard and trailer will be at the front of the parade lineup. The parade will begin promptly at 10 am.  If interested, reach out to Post #23 Commander  Rick Ziebart at 240-515-4216.
