Ten area nursing homes, including two in Iroquois County and one in Ford County, received five-star overall quality ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The Gibson Area Community Hospital Annex at Gibson City; The Iroquois Resident, Watseka; and Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth were ranked five-star. Others are: Clark-Lindsey Village, Urbana; Country Health, Gifford; Farmer City Rehab & Health Care; Hawthorne Inn of Danville; Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home, Mattoon;  Sullivan Rehabilitation & Health Care, Sullivan; and Tuscola Health Care Center.
