State police report a Kankakee woman walking on Interstate 57 Monday night was hit by a car. Police said 53-year-old Eula Scott was drunk. She was arrested for being a pedestrian under the influence.

Scott was taken to a local hospital with injuries, according to a State Police press release. Police reported Scott was walking south in the northbound lanes south of Ashkum just before midnight when she was hit by a car driven by a 28-year-old Urbana man. Scott was also ticketed for walking on a highway.
