A 41-year-old Kankakee man was listed in critical condition after a Sunday morning shooting in the 300-block of S. Rosewood Avenue in Kankakee. Lucien Sherrod was shot several times, according to police. Police reported a black male approached Sherrod and fired at him with a pistol and then fled in a black SUV.

Police responded to the shooting report at 11:37 am. Anyone with info is asked to contact investigators or call Crime Stoppers at 815-93CRIME.
