Rainfall amounts exceed one-inch in several area communities today. Overnight rain left roads ponding. Motorists are advised to be aware of changing road conditions. More rain and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon. A wind advisory kicks in mid-afternoon.  Winds could gust near 40 mph.

The threat of severe storms also brings a Flash Flood Watch in central Illinois.  Overnight temps are expected to dip into the 20s.
