Saturday's crowd and laughter and smiles at Legion Park in Watseka brought raving reviews about the city-sponsored family festival. Legiona Park was the setting for the event, which included vendors, games and musical entertainment.  And then, there was Gallagher the Comedian.  The melon-crushing entertainer wowed the crowd with his trade-mark show -- splattering melons and other objects to the thrill of the audience.

Gallagher was the main draw for the family festival at Legion Park.  The all-day entertainment included a live radio broadcast on 94.1 WGFA.

And in conjunction with the Fest, American Legion Post 23 celebrated its 100th anniversary of the Legion.  An open houe was held at the Legion Home.\
