The man accused of fleeing the scene of a deadly accident in Urbana remains in custody after being denied pretrial release. Julio Bol, a Mexican citizen, is facing seven charges, including two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Two people were killed when Bol, who was allegedly drunk, slammed into the back of another vehicle the early morning of January 19th at University and Coler Avenue. Bol was allegedly doing 78-miles-per-hour when he crashed into the other vehicle that was stopped at a red light. Two women in the stopped-vehicle died of their injuries.
