An arrest was made Wednesday in connection with the murder that took place in the 700 block of South Osborn Avenue, Kankakee on February 11, 2024. The U.S. Marshals Great Lake Regional Fugitive Task Force in Central Illinois and the U.S. Marshals East Valley Task Force in Phoenix, AZ assisted with the arrest of 45-year-old-Bennie Stroud III of Kankakee. Stroud was taken into custody and was detained in Arizona pending extradition.
