The National Weather Service (NWS) plans to have damage assessment teams out and about in central Illinois and Indiana today (Monday 12/29) to determine if tornadoes or straight line winds are responsible for Sunday's weather damage. Several reports of tornadoes are on record from Iroquois, Ford, Livingston Counties and also in parts of Champaign, Macon and Sangamon Counties in Illinois. Warnings were also issued in Benton, Jasper and Newton Counties in Indiana.
