A two-vehicle crash on Route 150 Friday left a Fithian man dead. 58-year-old James Davis II was pronounced dead at the scene. Illinois State Police say the accident occurred about 7:30 am at the Glover Overpass.

Davis was westbound about one mile east of St. Joseph. Troopers say 55-year-old Colleen Shields of St. Joseph was eastbound along the highway. Davis reportedly pulled into the path of Shields vehicle.

Shields was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

The crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police and the Champaign County Coroner.
