Twenty-year-old Kymber Nakearts of Clifton is the new fair queen in Iroquois County. She was crowned Wednesday night to open the 2013 fair at Crescent City.

The daughter of Kim and Pam Nakaerts, Kymber was the judges’ selection among a field of five candidates.

Kymber is a 2011 graduate of Central High School at Clifton and 2013 Kankakee Community College grad. She’ll attend Illinois State University and major in Agri-Business.

First runner-up and Miss Congeniality was Kendra Marquis of Donovan. Second runner-up was Taylor Redeker of Crescent City.
