With the Independence Day Holiday weekend ahead, the Illinois Department of Transportation is suspending construction projects and opening up lanes where possible through July 5th. But, there are a slew of projects they outline where lane closures will remain in place and note work zone speed limits remain in effect where posted.

IDOT's District 3 includes projects in the WGFA-listening area.  Route 45/52 south of Danforth has lane reductions continuing with traffic ontrolled by temporary signals. I-57 work south of Paxton finds lane reductions continuing. In Kankakee County, the Larry Power Road Bridge work has I-57 closed.  Three projects in Livingston County.... I-55 near Pontiac has lane reductions. South fo Dwight I-55 lane reductions are in place.  Illinois Route 116 west of Pontiac has lane reductions and temporary signals.
