WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUN MORNING THROUGH MON MORNING.

* TIMING….LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN TO SPREAD NE INTO THE WATCH AREA SUN MORNING. SNOWFALL INTENSITY WILL INCREASE WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW FORECAST TO FALL SUN AFTERNOON & SUNDAY EVENING. LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY BUT ONLY MINOR ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED DURING THIS TIME.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION.IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WATCH AREA;.ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF U.S HIGHWAY 24.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 25 MPH SUNDAY WITH SOME GUSTS OF 30 TO 35 MPH DURING THE AFTERNOON. STRONG WINDS WILL PERSIST INTO SUNDAY EVENING WHILE BECOMING NORTHERLY. WINDS WILL THEN GRADUALLY DIMINISH TO 10 TO 15 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO 25 MPH BY MON MORNING. THE STRONG GUSTY WINDS MAY RESULT IN BLOWING & DRIFTING SNOW.

* OTHER IMPACTS...SNOW MAY FALL HEAVILY AT TIMES SUNDAY.  SNOWFALL RATES MAY APPROACH 1 INCH PER HOUR MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT WITH SOME PORTIONS OF ROADS POTENTIALLY IMPASSABLE DUE TO DRIFTING SNOW.
