A man and a woman were resuced from the Kankakee River Sunday afternoon after their canoe capsized in fast-moving waters. 

The Limestone Township Fire rescue team was alerted to the Warner Bridge area around 2 pm.  Other canoers assisted the couple until the rescue team arrived.  No injury was reported.
