A section of Route 45 thru Ashkum is now officially recognized as the Dana Schoolman Memorial Highway. A dedicatiion event was held Saturday at the Ashkum Firehouse to memorialize the fireman/EMT who died in the line of duty in 1988. Schoolman was responding to an emergency call when he died in a traffic accident. Senate Resolution 8, sponsored by Senator Jason Barickman and Rep. Tom Bennett, was approved in May 8th by the 100th General Assembly. 94.1 WGFA
