Toby Coates has been named the new Donovan School District #3 superintendent. He joined the district as of July1. It’s his first role as a school superintendent.

Coates come from LaSalle County. His early years in education were in South Streator. He did spend eight years as a building principal at Wallace Grade School in Ottawa and then two years as a principal at Rutland Grade School in Ottawa.
His family has been living in Pontiac the last 16 years.
