A 30-year-old Dwight man is jailed in Livingston County for the robbery of a Casey’s General Store in Dwight early Wednesday. Lawrence Lloyd is charged with armed robbery. He was arrested by Dwight Police some nine hours after the robbery at 1:30 that morning. Lloyd is one of two men involved. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Suspect arrested in case of animal cruelty at Fair Oaks Dairy Farm

Newton County Sheriff’s Police arrested a Brook, IN man Wednesday in connection with the animal cruelty case at the Fair Oaks Dairy Farm. 36-year-old Edgar Gardoza-Vasquez is jailed in Newton County. He faces a misdemeanor offense for torturing an animal.

Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) have placed a hold on Vasquez. He’s one of three suspects named in warrants for the alleged abuse of young calves born at the northwest Indiana dairy farm. Two others are still at-large.
