The Kankakee County Board (Tuesday) approved expansion of one of its enterprise zones – designed to encourage investment in the economy.

This is in the eastern section of the county. Van Drunen Farms is located in an enterprise zone near the Momence – Grant Park area. The operation is eyeing expansion projects. Another 90 acres would be added to the enterprise zone. Five governmental agencies within the zone have to OK the expansion.
